Welcome to my website!
Here you’ll find my work, shaped by stories of old and new, grounded in subtle details and care for quality craftsmanship. Since the very start of my crafting journey, I had been utterly fascinated with both perfecting unique techniques and their historical context. Currently, I try to combine both worlds.
Most of what you can find here divides into two categories, items either heavily inspired by or replicating the work of early medieval Europe. These historical artifacts and their form and elegance is what drew me to craft things from the very beginning. In trying to catch even the subtlest details of these original pieces and their make, I hope to shine light on stories that might otherwise be forgotten.
Apart from that, you can find artifacts of my own or more conteporary fantasy. Much less confined in form, but no less rooted in the same principles. I am a firm believer of functional fantasy, fully functional imagined pieces influenced by ancient artifacts and their whimsy.
My workshop is located in somewhat rural Czech Republic, near Hradec Králové. As previously mentioned, I had always been fascinated with demanding work, techniques and developing new skills. Starting with blacksmithing at an early age, I earned my official foundation through an apprenticeship in traditional artistic blacksmithing. My work leaned into the historically inspired context quickly, further developing skills in finer work, such as engraving, metal inlaying, carving and so on. Therefore allowing me to create all of what you see start to finish.
